How to Download Pokemon GO and Start Your Own Pokemon Journey

Pokémon GO, the “love child” app game of Nitendo and Niantic, soared to the top of all of the app charts, both in Apple Store and Google PlayStore, making millions of people around the world starting an adventure with the title of Pokémon Trainer.

Surprising enough the app game isn’t available yet in most of the countries, limiting the gameplay for few specific countries. So how can you download the latest trend app, Pokémon GO, and enjoy it too?

If you’re in one of the lucky countries who have the app available already through their stores (United States, New Zealand, U.K, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Australia and some more… You can check the full list here), just download it from the stores. Simple indeed.

If you aren’t lucky enough to ahve the game in your country yet, and you just must download the game and play it with your friends, there is a s olution for you as well.

  • iOS: The iOS users solution is a bit long, but isn’t hard to accomplish. All you have to do is to login to one of the stores where the game is available. You will need to use a user with access to that country store. I recommend to use a USA free account, which isn’t complicated to make if you still don’t have one. Here you can check a tutorial on how to create a US free Apple user.
  • Android: The Android users are a bit unlucky. The solution isn’t difficult, but it is risky. Android users would need to download the APK file of the game (via their smartphone) and install it. The risk comes as there are many fake APKs full with malwareS and other harmful viruses.
    To find the APK, simply type in Google “Pokémon GO APK” and the first result should be it. I used the site called APK Mirror, and I had no problems with it so far whatsoever. Yet, I would recommend to have some Antivirus app in your phone, before downloading and installing the APK you found.

Grass Animation, What is it All About?

In the Pokémon GO world, where we wander around looking for Pokémon, most of us will use the “Nearby” function for their hunt. But many forget that the Pokémon are everywhere in this world. In addition to using the “Nearby” feature, you should pay attention to the grass animations around you.

Just like in the original game series, the grass animation (which looks like green confetti) in Pokémon GO hints you that there are Pokémon hiding at that specific location. In other words, if you follow the animation, you may find some more Pokémon. This allows you to maximize your Pokémon finding ability. So next time when you’re out hunting, make sure to check out the Grass Animations in your area, as you might find some of your favorite Pokémon hiding in there.

Style Your Pokemon Name in Pokémon GO

One of the features in Pokémon GO, just like in the original game series is the ability to change your Pokémon’s names when you catch them. To do so, all you need is to hit the tiny pencil icon near the Pokémon’s name, and you will have new window where you can pick a new name for your beloved Pokémon.

Unfortunately, not all the HTML tags can be used (for example the underline). Also, there is a limit of the number of characters that can be used, which disable the option to use other HTML tags such as the color tags.
This little trick can truly highlight your favorite Pokémon, and make it shine as they feel proud of their unique designed name.

How to Start With Pikachu in Pokémon GO

Pikachu, is indeed one of the most favorite Pokémon in the Pokémon world. But how can you have your own Pikachu in Pokémon GO?

There are 2 options:

  1. First, is of course to wander around the globes until you will find one, just like any other Pokémon in-game.pokemon-go-pikachu
  2. Second is the real in-game hack, where you would be able to start your Pokémon GO adventure with small yellow and cute Pikachu.
    When you start the game, you have the choice of capturing one of the 3 main Pokémon; Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur. But if you want to have your own Pikachu, you would need to run away from the Pokémon. Literally.
    As soon as you need to pick the Pokémon, go outside and walk away from the Pokémon until your phone vibrates. Keep doing it few times (between 4 to 6 times in a row). At some point you will be able to see the belovedPikachuu among the three other Pokémon. Just tap it and capture it! And here you have Pikachu as starting Pokémon.
